Dr. Fuhr is a Distinguished Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and also serves as the Grid Communications and Security Group Leader and the Technology Director for the Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Research Laboratory. Dr Fuhr has reported on his research findings in hundreds of technical publications, presentations and patents.His annual portfolio of managed and front line R&D activities exceeds $20M (and 22+ individuals). He has 100s of publications and presentations, numerous patents on topics such as "Internet of Things Multiparameter Sensor Agent OutStation” to "Pulsar Based Timing Synchronization Method and System". He is serving as dissertation advisor for a number of graduate students at the University of Tennessee.Specialties: sensors, wireless technologies, designing secure integrated network architectures for petrochem/pharma/military needs, sensors & mobile platforms.
