Meriden Carbon is a new venture collaboration of ranchers and technical energy professionals, formed with the goal of bringing large-scale energy transition solutions for the United States.  We have partnered directly with Wyoming landowners to develop one of the largest carbon storage assets in the country, known as the Steamboat Carbon Storage Hub.  Globally we are on the cusp of unprecedented world-wide demand for the permanent, geologic storage of carbon dioxide deep underground and the world is short on carbon storage.  To build up the level of carbon storage assets needed to meet the coming demand, we believe that landowners and other stakeholders must have a seat at the table beyond the traditional leasing model. The Steamboat Carbon Storage Hub spans over 100,000 contiguous acres, in the northern DJ Basin of Wyoming, with the potential for gigatons of CO2 storage.  Our technical team consists of subsurface experts, all with beginnings at the Colorado School of Mines, who have teamed up to take decades of knowledge from the oil and gas industry and apply it to developing carbon storage assets in the Rocky Mountain region. The new venture has been and continues to be a self-funded endeavor. Our goal is to receive funding from state and federal sources, described herein, to move the project forward.  We are actively seeking collaboration with industrial CO2 sources, CDR projects and transportation providers.  Wyoming Leads!
